Ryan B.
Private tutor in Zürich, Switzerland
Education
Currently sudying for a PhD in machine-learning as applied to chemoinformatics, here at the ETH Zurich. Formerly I completed studies at Imperial College, London, gaining an MSc (Bioinformatics and Theoretical Systems Biology) with distinction in 2015. Prior to that, I undertook my undergraduate education at the Queen's University of Belfast, gaining an MPharm (Master of Pharmacy) with 2:1 Honours in 2014.
Experience
Currently teaching a practical course in analytical chemistry at the ETH Zurich, havinf formerly assisted in programming and statistics tutorials for MSc students at Imperial College London. Additionally, I worked as a computer programmer for a private company in London, and as a bioinformatician at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (Cambridge, focused on cancer biology and drug chemistry) after graduating from my MSc. SAT, AP etc. not relevant to the British Education system I'm afraid. I wish to tutor largely to gain experience in a field that is very important to me, and to help people problem-solve so as to locate the issues which most commonly arise from approaches to complex material, the aim being to better teach this material myself post-PhD.
