I'm a Swiss-American who lived in the U.S. for over 15 years. A bi-lingual German and English speaker, I have over 5 years' experience tutoring privately for speaking and writing, including in advanced composition and essay-writing. I have worked with students of all ages. As a writing tutor, I primarily focused on helping high-school and college students improve their writing. I have also worked with a variety of corporate clients over the years, helping them improve their business english. Currently, I work full-time as a communications consultant but enjoy tutoring English during my free time. I'm interested in sports - including volleyball and running, socializing and spending time with friends, and traveling around Europe. I have a full-time job during the week, however I greatly enjoy tutoring and teaching in my free time. I have always had a passion for languages, and love to help others progress. As someone who learned the English language at a young age, I know first-hand the importance and positive impact of good teaching. In addition to English, I speak German and Swiss-German at the native level, and am conversationally fluent in French.
